Why Denver?

Denver is a growing, diverse community full of young families, professionals, and people seeking connection and purpose. People come to Denver searching–whether in the beauty of the Rockies, the promise of a successful career, or the 300 sunny days a year. The beauty of Denver’s physical landscape and its economic opportunities continue to attract hopeful people searching for the promise of something more, and for many of the people flocking to this beautiful place the search has come up empty. 1 in 4 Coloradans report poor mental health–with the state reporting persistent depression and anxiety among the population. And two-thirds of Denver metro’s 3 million people would claim no affiliation to a local church. According to Pew Research, Colorado is one of the states with the least churches according to state population in the country.

Central Park and the surrounding areas represent a unique opportunity to plant a life-giving, hope-filled church that reaches people from all walks of life–soccer moms and single dads, people counting days clean and people on parole, the up and to the rights, and the down and outs. A place that loves and serves families in our neighborhood, creates a welcoming space for people in the mess of life, invests in the next generation, and partners with the city to meet real community needs.
